Jewellery advent calendars were purchased in their hundreds by GLAMOUR readers last autumn, reigning supreme as the most dazzling way to count down to Christmas. And as the colder months (terrifyingly) edge closer once again, our favourite jewellery brands are gearing up to release details of their 2023 iterations.
It's official: the days when chocolate advent calendars were the only way to get yourself in the mood for the big day (read: 25th December) are long gone – and while the best beauty advent calendars remain a popular alternative, the best jewellery advent calendars serve up something altogether more enduring.
Your cream blush, eyeshadow palette hit pan and that vitamin C serum serve you for a few months' worth of skincare routines, but the signet rings, stackable stud earrings, white gold chokers and rose gold necklaces housed inside these jewellery advent calendars will last nothing less than forever. So, it's time to become acquainted.
Which brands have a jewellery advent calendar in 2023?
Last year, an array of Christmas gift wishlist-worthy jewellery advent calendars were launched by the likes of Oliver Bonas, Abbott Lyon, Liberty, Accessorize and Philip Jones. Celeb-adored Missoma (they count Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and Bella Hadid as fans) dropped a long-awaited Missoma advent calendar packed with bestselling layering pieces, while Liberty London released a calendar containing treats by coveted jewellery designers like Kenneth Jay Lane and Anni Lu.
This year, Instagram-trending Astrid & Miyu have already announced the release of three jewellery advent calendars (last year they only released two; this years' newbie is a solid gold calendar worth over £1,300), while Oliver Bonas has announced that their sub-£300 calendar will be available for order from 15th October.
For our other favourite brands? We're in close chats with them all, and you'll be the first to know when waitlists land. Watch. This. Space.
