Of all the shades, red hair is the one really having a moment.
While we've long admired natural shades on redheads such as Jessica Chastain, Isla Fisher and Karen Gillan, many other celebrities have been giving the shade a spin. Remember when Dua Lipa debuted a bright cherry-red bob, then Kim Kardashian-West followed suit not long after? Or when Zendaya dyed her curls auburn red so all the girlies went and dyed their curls auburn red.
Since then, our Instagram feeds have been full of red hair inspo, from the hi-vis cherry shades favoured by the Kardashian-Jenners to the deep, merlot shades like actress Crystal Reed, to the true red on the likes of chart-topping rapper Ice Spice, and the natural, pale copper hues on former GLAMOUR cover star Abigail Cowen. There's a shade of red that can suit every skin tone.

But it's Teen Wolf movie actress Crystal Reed who's given us all the fiery red hair inspo this week, with the new, beautifully bright red shade which complement her eyes and match her strawberry-brunette looking brows.

So, with the celebrity seal of approval, there's never a more apt time to experiment with red hair than right now. Not only is the shade glamorous and elegant, but it's also versatile and vibrant.
Zoe Irwin, Wella Professionals UK Colour Trend Expert, who travels the world searching for inspiration and picking up on the latest beauty trends, forecasts that red hair is here to stay; “As a trend forecaster, I note how the market reacts to colours and I can see that there's a movement towards other 70s tones in the last three to five years,” says Zoe.

According to Zoe, the trend is for “a warm wash of colour that is based around the magical light that happens in the evening,” and ranges from sun-kissed strawberry blond to a baked terracotta.
