It’s finally time to call Kim Kardashian an ‘actor.’ On Monday, April 10, The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported that Kim is joining the cast of American Horror Story for the creepy new series, which also stars Emma Roberts. And now, we can get a taster of Kim's acting chops, since a trailer has been dropped to tease the show launch.
It looks like the reality star has a pretty big part to play in the next instalment of AHS, which is called Delicate – and follows the story of a Hollywood actor who is expecting her a baby, but begins to suspect that there are other forces trying to interfere with her pregnancy.

What do we know about Kim Kardashian's role in American Horror Story?
Per THR, the role was written specifically for Kim K. The upcoming 12th season of the anthology series is written by Halley Feiffer, who will also serve as showrunner.
“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” co-creator Ryan Murphy said in a statement. “Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role, especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.
The 12th season will be titled Delicate and is partially based on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel Delicate Condition, which came out in August 2023 and widely viewed as a modern take on the 1960s horror classic Rosemary's Baby. Bookshop.org describes the book as “a gripping thriller that follows a woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens ― while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says.”

THR reports that Kim Kardashian and Ryan Murphy are friends, and that the producer was impressed with her performance as Saturday Night Live host back in 2021. Kim has acted before, but this would mark her first high-profile role. AHS famously launched the acting career of Lady Gaga, who appeared in the fifth season, AHS: Hotel, for which she won a Golden Globe; she was later nominated for an Oscar for her performance in 2018’s A Star Is Born.
Who else stars in the upcoming season of American Horror Story?
In addition to Kim, other cast members set to appear in the upcoming season include Emma Roberts and Cara Delevingne in leading roles. You can also expect to see Matt Czuchry, Annabelle Dexter-Jones (ie. Naomi Pearce from Succession), Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Odessa A'zion and Zachary Quinto.
Is there a trailer for the series?
The official trailer for Delicate is finally here, showing Kim as her character Siobhan Walsh, who appears to be some sort of advisor or agent to Emma's character. We also see Roberts as A-list actor Anna Alcott, and Cara Delevingne as a creepy nurse. Extra props to Kim for the chilling lullaby scene:
Earlier in 2023, FX also released this (very creepy) teaser trailer, giving a glimpse of Kim K in a surreal dance scene dressed in black leather gloves, holding a baby and staring ominously into the camera. It's safe to say, this will be one of the weirdest, scariest seasons of American Horror Story yet. And we can't wait.
When will the new series premiere?
Kim K will officially make her acting debut alongside Roberts and Delevingne on September 20 2023 when the series drops on Hulu in the US – it is expected to be aired in the UK via Disney+.
