If you're looking for bob haircut inspiration, Emma Stone's brand-new “cool girl bob” just might be it. Equal parts edgy, feminine, and low-maintenance, it's very much giving lazy-hot-girl hair—the perfect to transition from summer to fall.
Stone's chop was cut, styled, and named by celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak, founder of hair care line Rōz. Roszak chopped four whole inches off the Oscar winner's shoulder-length hair and Stone's buttery new shade of blonde was created by celebrity hairstylist Tracey Cunningham.
“The cool girl bob is effortless and a tiny bit longer in the front than the rest for subtle dimension,” Roszak tells Glamour exclusively of Stone's new style.
As for how to get the look yourself? Roszak advises taking a photo of the cool-girl bob to your stylist—go ahead and screenshot Stone's selfie above—and requesting the length in front be a little longer than the rest of your hair to ensure you master the cool-girl aesthetic.
“Ask your stylist for the above, and for definition and effortless movement,” Roszak reiterates. The key to the “cool girl” aspect of the bob is its ease and movement, after all. It's like a built-in volumising wind machine for your hair.
To create Stone's textured short hairstyle, Roszak cleansed Stone's hair with Rōz Foundation Shampoo & Conditioner, then applied two pumps of the Rōz Milk Hair Serum on towel-dried hair from roots to ends.
Roszak blow-dried Stone's hair and and styled it into loose waves, finishing the look with Rōz Santa Lucia Styling Oil for extra shine as well as an additional pump of the Milk Hair Serum to de-puff and protect against heat and humidity. “This product combo is perfect for styling, but also gives that post bleach hair the hydration and nourishment it needs,” she says.
